Our communities would be so much better at fielding these injuries and be able to better assess the acuity of an injury and send the patient to the proper facility and alert the proper personnel accordingly. This will prevent involvement from high level specialists unnecessarily, lawsuits, excessive costs and having to transfer patients to higher level institutions just by having this small, handheld and affordable device on hand.
